CSRS: 2016 Outstanding EMS Agency Award

Cave Spring Rescue Squad was recognized on many levels by the Western Virginia EMS Council during the 2016 regional award ceremony held at the Vinton War Memorial on Thursday evening.

Cave Spring Rescue Squad received the 2016 Outstanding EMS Agency Award. This award is given to an EMS agency that exemplifies outstanding professionalism and service to its community; whose high level of patient care is evident by innovative training, community awareness, preventive health programs, public relations efforts and participation in local, regional and statewide EMS systems.

Our Operational Medical Director, Dr. Carol Bernier received the Dr. Cheryl B. Haas Award for Outstanding EMS Physician. This award is presented to an EMS physician who exemplifies outstanding leadership and dedication in the exercise of prehospital care.

CSRS Life Member and Roanoke County Battalion Chief of EMS William Duff received the Award for Excellence in EMS. This award is presented to an individual who exemplifies outstanding dedication and service to the statewide Virginia emergency medical services system, and has demonstrated a commitment to a comprehensive, integrated system of emergency medical services throughout the Commonwealth.
